Beautiful Warli tribal art painting showing Ant House.
Warli Art Borrows its name from the name of the agrarian tribe that tills in the small padas (hamlets) of the palghar district of Mahrastra. The paintings are vivid with elements of nature that the Warlis worship. Intricate representations of Adivasi culture, including ‘tarpa dance’, which is performed to celebrate the harvest are made. This art of telling stories is an integral part of Warli culture and is interwoven with the tribe’s everyday life.
Balu has to carry huge weight of expectations growing up, being the son of the legendary Jivya Soma Mashe, and he didn’t come short on those expectations. Very early he picked the nuances the trick of trade and managed to carve his own space in the Warli art world.
